The the Advisory Board is an independent group of individuals who provide non-binding strategic advice to We Effect management. Members of the Advisory Board participate in their personal capacity and do not represent specific organisations, authorities or otherwise. Members are appointed for one year at a time and meet 2-3 times per year.
Participation in the Advisory Board is on fully volunteer basis. Members do not receive any payment or other reimbursements.

Carina Andersson
Head of Unit for East and Southern Africa at the Swedish Red Cross. Carina has worked with international development cooperation for many years, mostly in Kenya and Zimbabwe. Previous roles include Head of Development and Regional Director in Eastern Africa for We Effect and National Coordinator for the international campaign Jubilee 2000 on debt cancellation for poor countries. She is currently a Board member for Kvinna till Kvinna.
Björn Lindh
Head of Communication at the Olof Palme International Center. Björn has a university degree in journalism and has previously worked as Head of Communication at the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan in Kabul, Head of Communication at We Effect and Press Secretary at the Ministry of Justice.
Petra Pilawa
Consultant in organisational development, currently working as Managing Director for Cooperatives Sweden and responsible for cooperative development within the Swedish Farmers Federation, LRF. Previously Manager of Member relations at LRF, project manager for The Gender Equality Academy (Jämställdhetsakademin), vice president of Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan (Sweden’s second largest study association for non-formal adult education) and Secretary General for a youth organisation.
Svante Sandberg
Happily retired and president of the Swedish Amnesty Fund. Previously development worker in Colombia and Nicaragua, Secretary General of Forum Syd, Head of Civil Society unit at Sida and International Programme Director at Save the Children Sweden, expert in the parliamentary commission for Swedish global development policy, president of Concord Sweden and representative in the EU committee for NGO development cooperation.
Fredrik Uhrbom
Fredrik works as the Marketing Director and Business Area Manager for CTEK Group, which specializes in sustainable electric charging equipment, accessories, and infrastructure for the automotive industry. Fredrik has a long-standing background in retail, including roles as Sales and Marketing Director at Coop Sverige AB and Country Manager at Clas Ohlson. Prior to that, Fredrik has worked at the industrial conglomerate Hultafors Group and Business Sweden/Exportrådet, where he held various positions based in cities such as Berlin, Stuttgart, London, and Copenhagen.
